Why PropFirm Register exists
Prop trading firms sell evaluations to traders all over the world. Large numbers of traders report refused payouts, rules changed after purchase and accounts closed right after a payout request. Most of these firms are not regulated, and a trader who loses an evaluation fee or a payout usually has nowhere to turn.
PropFirm Register collects these reports in one place, account by account, and counts them, so that anyone can see whether a firm pays or not before buying.
The problem
- Evaluations are sold as a service, not as an investment, so in most countries no financial regulator supervises them.
- Funded accounts usually trade simulated (demo) money. A payout is a promise of the firm, not a withdrawal of the trader's own funds.
- Many firms send no contract after purchase. The real rules sit in FAQ and help pages and can change at any time.
- Many firms are registered offshore, often without naming the owner.
- Complaints are scattered across forums, social media and review sites, where they are easy to bury.
What this site does
- Publishes what traders submit, tied to the firm and the account number.
- Lets the firm reply next to every row.
- Counts publications, refused payouts, payouts confirmed by the firm, replies and missing contracts.
- Links every firm to its brokers, platforms, payment processors and servers, and shows who regulates them.
- Sends regular lists of accounts to verify to regulators, brokers and payment processors, and publishes their replies.
What this site does not do
- We are not a party to any dispute and do not decide who is right.
- We do not rate firms, and we do not edit or fact-check publications.
- No ads, no affiliate links, no promo codes. We take no money from firms.
- Nothing is deleted. Content is hidden only when the law requires it, and the place where it was stays visible.
Verification lists
Every quarter we send regulators, brokers and payment processors a list of accounts to verify. For each firm it gives the account numbers with a refused payout or no answer, the amounts and dates, and the intermediaries named. We ask them to check these accounts against their own records.
An account is included only if its author agreed. Its documents and the email used at the firm go with it, so the account can be identified.
The list goes to the regulators of the countries where the firm and its intermediaries are registered, and to the brokers and payment processors named. We ask for a check. We do not accuse anyone and do not file complaints on anyone's behalf.
Every reply is published on the Verification page as received, with the date, and so is the absence of a reply. Each request says this in advance. Names of staff are replaced by their role.
The question every firm is asked
Funded accounts trade simulated (demo) money. How do you pay traders from simulated accounts, and where does the payout money come from?
Every firm card shows the firm's answer, or “No answer from the firm”. A firm can answer at any time from its firm panel. Earlier answers stay visible.
How the numbers are counted
| Refused | Confirmed publications that report a refused payout. A publication is confirmed when its author opens the link we send to the email used at the firm. |
|---|---|
| Paid by firm | Only payouts the firm confirmed from its verified support email, with proof. Traders cannot mark a payout as paid. |
| No answer | A payout was requested and the firm has not decided. |
| Not confirmed | The author has not confirmed the email used at the firm. Shown, but not counted in the totals. |
